Review of Angels & Demons Series by Tich Brewster

Angels and demons, God and Satan, heaven and hell ~ What do you do when you find out that these things are not some made-up fantasy but they are real? And not only are they real but you were created to fight in warfare against the demons? 

Hannah’s life is turned upside down when she discovers that everything she thought was fictional is actually real. Everyone she loves is in danger and to top it off, she learns that she is a Devada. She was created to kill demons. 

Will she be able to learn and master her Devada abilities before the demons find her?

This is the first of a series.

The story begins with Hannah and Chris, seventeen year old best friends and high school classmates, who hang out together almost all the time, though they are only friends.  Hannah then meets Josh and Raum, new in her class, and has real trouble figuring out what their intentions are. They seem nice enough but she views them with much apprehension. When strange events begin occurring, Hannah finds out her life is not what she thought it was and now she has to deal with becoming someone who can save the world, but first she has to lose hers. 

It has a huge surprise cliffhanger ending which continues in the second book!

The characters are well written and it is a quick read. The relationship between Hannah, Josh and Raum builds while Hannah is dealing with losing everyone she's ever been close to. I would give this story 3.5 stars.

Hannah is on the hunt for the demons responsible for the death of her parents. Their gruesome bodies still haunt her dreams. Will these nightmares ever end? Will she get to know peace once more? 

When Raum was sent to Oklahoma to help a young girl transform into a Devada he knew there was something different about her. She wasn’t like any other Devada he’d known. When secrets are revealed he is surprised at how special Hannah truly is.

This is the second book in the series.

Hannah's story continues with messages from her father begging for help. With Josh and Raum helping her, she begins searching for her father. Her primary goal to find him.

Hannah's powers grow and all around her realize that she is not the typical Devada, she can do things only angels can do. The relationship between Hannah and Raum continues to grow through the rollercoaster that their lives has become. The tests these two are put through are extreme hopefully they will get some peace in the next book.

Again I would give this book a 3.5

Tich is an Oklahoma resident and the mother of five. Her passion for reading started at an early age when her Aunt Vicky gave her the novel Heidi for Christmas. She didn't start writing until middle school, after being inspired by her best friend's short stories. "Genny's stories weren't just great but they inspired me to put my pen and paper to good use."
