Appearances, can be deceiving.
Raven and Tanis are trying very hard to merge their vastly different lifestyles, but Tanis issues with his own past could prove to be more than their fragile relationship can handle. Is their love for each other strong enough to weather the oncoming storm?
Aiya and Sawyer have fought hard to be together in a world where Opposite relationships are generally forbidden. Yet, they are still forced to keep their relationship a secret while they are outside the walls of House Gaeland.
Everyone assumes that the only threat lies outside their walls, the group of rebels led by Cillian. But something is happening within House Gaeland, something that hasn’t happened since GWI. And with all the attention focused on that, their guard is down. An evil that was under their nose all along strikes, and someone will make the ultimate sacrifice to save another.
Appearances is the second book in the Opposites series, the series should be read in order.
** Warning, Opposites is an Adult Dystopian majorly M/M series that contains explicit sexual content and relationships between gay, straight and lesbian couples. **
Review:
I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. Probably because I was more invested this time around. If you haven't read Opposites you need to do that before reading Appearances or you will be lost!
The love between Aiyan and Kaden continues to grow as does the the relationship between Aiya and Sawyer. Each of the twins and their respective mates travel to their mates homes to meet their family and people. Raven and Tanis accompany Aiya and Maeve where Tanis hopes to show the man he loves his home. But all is not well. Tanis finds it hard to let go of his past and pushes Raven away. When Aiyan and Kaden stop by on their way home the take Raven with them leaving Tanis to decide if he wants to go after his fiance or not. Tanis of course follows with Aiya, Mauve and Sawyer in tow.
Once home though they have to fight an evil force that has hidden within their walls for years. Death and heartache invade the lives of the couples and again tough choices will have to be made.
I love all the couples in this story! Aiyan and Kaden are just to endearing, Aiya and Sawyer are loving and tragic at the same time; and Raven and Tanis are just hot!! And that's only the younger generation! Add in the parents and you have a HOT read that you just can't put down!!
Great review Jill! Thank you for hosting me!!
