The Perfect Match Blog Tour & Review

Inside the ring Jackson aka Bullet is a high flyer, the fearless risk taker that takes people down with his signature move Shot to the Heart. Outside the ring, its his heart that takes the shot. He has fallen head over heels in love with the perfect woman. She knows all about the wrestling life, the people in it, and what it takes to succeed. She is his best friend, and the one person he is not able have.

Noelle Reid plays by the rules. She is not the type to invite drama into her life, and from the time her father told her when she first discovered boys that she is not to date a pro-wrestler, she's never questioned it. Then Jackson starts getting her heart beating faster, and stealing every thought she had.

What if the one man she's not supposed to love is the only man she ever really trusted? Now she has to decide between being the perfect daughter that she has always been, and finally putting herself and her life first and allowing herself to love Jackson.

Excerpt

She stood on her toes and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around her to return the kiss, and the moment she was in his arms she felt safe. This is where she wanted to be. Right there, with him. She was going to trust him. She felt her body tremble, and her lips quiver at the sweet intensity of his lips.
His hips nudged hers and was able to feel his need for her. That stirred things inside her that she could no longer ignore. She reached down between them and put her hand on his erection that was pressing against her belly. He groaned and tilted his head back. She gave him a squeeze. This was such a big moment for them, and god, did she want to be with him but wasn’t ready to declare her true feelings yet. All she knew for sure was, she wanted him, and didn’t couldn’t wait any longer.
“Noelle,” he said barely above a whisper, “Are you ready for your third birthday present?”
She tilted her chin up so she can look at him. She saw the heat in his blue eyes. “Is it you?”
He gave her a sexy smile that made all sorts of places tingle. “You've got to unwrap me first.”

EXCERPT

"Noelle, I love you." Jackson admitted.

She could no longer hide the tears, “I’m sorry. I’m still so unsure.”

“I can’t deny what I am feeling. This is the real thing. Here, I’ll prove it.” He took her hand placing it over his heart. His chest was rock hard but more importantly she could feel his heart pounding. “This is new to me. I have never felt so out of control and happy at the same time. Remember when I did my first promo and you asked if I was scared? I made you feel my heart? It wasn’t pounding like it is now. I’m not pretending. I’m forever changed because of you. I cannot sit back and hear about anymore Mr. Evil’s in your life. I want to be the guy in your life, and I’ve never been more afraid or sure of anything in my life. YOU. ARE. IT. FOR. ME. I don’t know how else to get you to believe me.” She still had her hand on his heart and closed her eyes when Jackson put his hand over hers. At that moment she knew this was bigger than the both of them. She looked up at him and saw the tears in his eyes too. She trusted him and knew that he was taking a huge risk. The way his heart pounded told her as much as well. “I love you.” He said it again.

My Review

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!! The characters are well developed and I was drawn into the story from the first chapter. Noelle is a strong female and Jackson is HOT!!!  Noelle was hurt before by a wrestler but Jackson's love wins her over.  These two are a great couple!

4.5 Stars!!!

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and can never imagine living anywhere else. I have been married for 12 years and have a beautiful creative 6 year old. I have been writing since I could put sentences together. I always thought that I would go the traditional route of publishing, and once I discovered the Indie world, I got hooked.

I am inspired everyday by people, music and other books. I love it when a book I read stays with me long after I read it. If one of my books can do that for one other person, that will make me happy.

Perfect Match is my debut novel. It's about a woman learning to let go of her past and trust in what her future can bring.

No Turning Back Release Day!!

Excerpt:
“Hey, let’s hit the dance floor.”  I take Caroline’s arm while the rest of the Kluft girls follow us, and we hit the make shift dance floor in the living room.  They are playing Mobb Deep’s “Quiet Storm.”  It’s old, but I love the beat.  We hit the middle of the floor and start swaying our hips to the music.  We giggle like school girls as we notice the guys in the room taking note.  A few others join us, Crystal and Lucas included.

“If they’re watchin’, let’s show them how we Southern girls have a good time,” I say to Caroline.

“You got it!”

We add just a little more emphasis to our hips and start dancing with each other.  Before I know it, the song is over, and we walk back to the kitchen to grab another drink.

“Caroline, I’m so glad Crystal got me to come with y’all tonight.  I’m not big on partying, but it looks like I might have to change that thought if we have this much fun!”

“Girl, anytime!  I can tell already that Georgia and us are gonna be tight because we are a lot alike.  Only thing is she’s super quiet.  We are from ‘round here.  Most of the students here are Yankees.  Not that it’s a bad thing.  They just piss me off when they make us seem stupid by the way we talk.  I mean they chose to come to school here.”

“I understand you completely!  But aren’t those Yankees too damn cute?  I love me a country boy, but I might have to widen my horizons.”

I’m about to pour myself another round when I hear the sexiest voice known to women.  I look up and there is Jackalope Joe.  If his voice does that to me, I can only imagine what will happen if those perfect lips touch mine.

“Let me get that for you.”

“Thanks, Joe? Joe is your name, right?”  Play dumb Charley.

“Yeah, and you’re Cougar Charley.”  We both laugh.

“You know all I want to call you is Jackalope Joe,” I say with a half smile.

I think I might fall out looking into those make ya wanna melt, piercing blue eyes.  Keep it together, Charley. I’ve gotta keep in control. Good lookin’ or not, guys are like a bad habit I can’t break.  The last time I got involved with someone that could make panties drop by just lookin’ at me almost ended my life.  I have to stay in control, no matter what my emotions are screaming at me.

“Miss Cougar, ya wanna try out the dance floor? Joe smirks.  This is not good.

“Sure, see if ya can keep up.”  I smile.

My Review:

I was drawn into this book from the beginning!  I just love Cash and wish I had a man like him!!  But I digress.  Charlie has had to live with what happened between her and Dylan for the last months of her high school career. Having to quit the swim team because she just couldn't deal with being near him.  After graduation she figures she would just stay at home and go to community college, that is until three weeks before school starts. Then she decides she needs to get away, just to a small college where she wont run into Dylan.

Before she leaves, her best friend and sort of ex Cash comes to say goodbye. Cash and Charlie have been attached for as long as she can remember and she does love him, but she needs to find herself first. As Charlie starts to navigate her new life she finds friends in her dorm-mates and is convinced to join the swim team. She even meets a boy that she likes - Joe. But can she really leave Cash behind? Which one is right for Charlie and why does Dylan contact her right before she goes home for homecoming?

You need to read this book!!! I loved it! The characters are well developed, the settings are descriptive and the emotions are all there. I laughed, cried and everything in between. I promise you will want to yell for the next installment at the end!!

4 Stars!!

With the help of her two “Fairy God Fathers” who are pushing for her happily ever after…anything could happen.

My Review:
The Shoe is a cute quick read.  Blair and Hunter have heat together and even the supporting characters are fun.  I am not into fashion so the descriptions of what she wears, over and over again, started to get a little much but I still enjoyed the book.
If you are a fashionista then you should pick up this book!!

    About the Author:

Though born in Mesa, Arizona, Sean has spent most of his life in Missouri. He graduated high school in Lebanon, Missouri. His mother was a special education/reading teacher and his father was a police officer. Though they divorced when Sean was very young he remains close with both his parents. He has two brothers and no children, but he has a very large extended family in the Ozark region (Mountain View/West Plains Missouri region) and Southern Arizona (Eloy/Casa Grande area).

After high school, Sean attended college at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri for a time before dropping out and going to work for a TV station in Springfield, Missouri. After a time, he returned to college and graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, minor in Philosophy. He holds a Master of Science in Criminology/Criminal Justice Administration from Pittsburg State University (Pittsburg, Kansas) in 2005.

After college, Sean naturally gravitated towards social work and investigative work, eventually settling with a job investigating allegations of abuse and neglect of disabled adults and seniors for the Missouri Department of Heath and Senior Services. Sean began working on the first book in the series in November of 2008, while still working full time for the State of Missouri. Though Sean has been writing most of his life, he claimed (as per his blog) that he did not consider writing professionally until he was inspired to do so by a terrible vampire movie. During the film, Sean amused himself by imagining the vampires being attacked by a dragon. Sean has remarked on his blog that he often does this when bored or annoyed with a film--though sometimes he uses Vikings, zombies, or Cthulhu in place of dragons.

His literary influences include H.P. Lovecraft, Anne Rice, Charlaine Harris, George R.R. Martin, Robert E. Howard, and R.A. Salvatore, among others. In addition to writing, Sean enjoys watching and reading science fiction, fantasy, horror, and thrillers. His hobbies include playing Xbox, fantasy role playing games and collecting firearms. Sean's background in sociology, criminology, and philosophy are heavy influences on his work, as well as his experience as an investigator (former) for the State of Missouri.

    Time for some self promotion!

I'm stuck in Brad's head!!!  He's been talking to me all night and won't leave me alone!! So I had to share!  This is a snippet from Walk Into Me and I hope you enjoy it!!! Oh and BTW I will be working with Airicka Phoenix on the cover in about a week so look for a cover reveal soon!!

**Unedited and may change before publication**
I jump in the shower and while I’m soaping up I think about that one night long ago. About holding her in my arms and breathing in her scent. I hate that sex with anyone since her is just a release. I’ve dated many girls but none of them ever touched my heart. None even came close to what I feel for Lisa.

I stroke myself thinking about her caramel colored eyes looking up at me, her mouth parted and that little moan she gave right before she came. She’s just so fucking beautiful! I imagine her lying naked on my bed letting me taste her skin. My hands cupping her breasts and taking a nipple into my mouth, sucking it then flicking my tongue over the peak while my hand makes its way down her body to the place I really want to taste. She would be wet for me, and just touching her would bring that little sound from her throat. Kissing my way across her belly, stopping to dip my tongue into her belly button. Continuing down until I can smell her arousal and my mouth waters from the scent. Gently licking her slit until I come to her clit then bathe it with my tongue. Swirling around until she calls my name then latching on while my fingers invade her and find that spot inside. Her coming around me, squeezing my head and hand between her legs as the waves of her orgasm go on and on. I come in an eruption having to steady myself against the tile so I don’t fall down. I let the water run over me washing away the evidence of my fantasy and taking with it the peace I feel from imagining her with me.
Getting out and drying off I see myself in the mirror, I’ve lost weight in the past couple of months and I need a haircut. I’ve let myself go and it’s time to start getting my shit together. Dealing with loving Lisa was never easy but I told her I can deal and I won’t let her down again. I just hope to keep times when I’m with both her and Bobby to a minimum.

So tell me what you think!!!!  Are you as excited about getting inside of Brad's head as I am??

TO KNOW HER by Renee Burke Review

    BLURB
Sara Hudson doesn't remember her own name – or anything else about her life. When Derek Clayton rescues her from a deserted highway, Sara finds she can’t say no to the sexy stranger. Lost from all she knows, Sara becomes the submissive to Derek’s dominance. Although she doesn’t understand why she yields to his demands, she can’t deny the blazing passion for the man who seems to know exactly how to satisfy her needs.

The only thing Derek Clayton has more of than secrets is money. He offers Sara help with one goal in mind – to keep her in the dark until he can work out the events that left her stranded without a memory. Can they give up the constraints of the past to find their happy ending or will his secrets and past love threaten their future?

This 17,000 word novella is intended for mature audiences. It contains a submissive amnesiac seduced by a sexy stranger whose smooth talking skills and sweet kisses leave them burning up the sheets with smoking hot sex.

    Scene with Alternate POV

Derek jumped in the car and threw it into gear.  Gravel flew as he hurried onto the highway, probably chipping the smooth black paint of the Porsche.  Fitting.  He had screwed up.  Everything was a mess because of his words a few minutes ago.  The crushed expression on Sara’s face haunted him.  He had broken their fragile alliance with cruel words.  He needed to find her and fix it.
His car ate up the miles as he sped toward her house.  He knew where she lived though he’d never taken the time to go inside. He’d never had to because Sara came to him willingly, openly, never demanding anything.  Until tonight.  In the past she’d always given and never asked for anything from him.  He tried to get his words in order as he drove.  Straightening this out wouldn’t be easy.  He had a feeling once she got her back up, it wouldn’t be easy to get back on her good side.  And she had separated herself from him as fast as humanly possible when he’d spoken the cruel words.
A flash of skin from the shoulder of the highway caught Derek’s eye, and he hit the brake.  He glanced back to see Sara standing still, looking vulnerable and alone.  He slid the car into reverse and approached her.
She wrapped her arms around herself.  He narrowed his eyes.  He was no threat.
As he got closer, he saw blood ooze from her forehead.  Her skin was pale and shocky.  Her expression was shattered.  His arm shot out to grasp her when she stepped too close to the drop off on the edge of the pavement.  All she needed was another injury.
    Not on his watch.
Her reaction was less than comfortable, more confused than angry at him.
“Trouble?”  He pulled her toward the road and glanced around.  Where was her car?  Had she run it into the ditch?  He didn’t see it along the stretch of darkness.  Maybe this was the chance to talk to her than he needed.  At least she would have to sit with him for the ride home.
He brushed her hair back and waited for her to answer.  He was so damn sorry, yet he wasn’t sure what to say.  She was vital to him, but that’s not what he’d said.  He’d made her feel second rate.  How could he make it up to her on this abandoned stretch of highway?
“I seem to be lost.”  Her voice held no attitude.  She did look lost, and he hated it.  He wanted her back to normal, full of professional smoothness until he got her alone when she showed her feisty attitude.
“You seem to be hurt.”  He winced as he touched the cut.  Not deep enough for stitches.
“I’m not sure how that happened.  I can’t seem to remember... much.”  She pulled herself away, and he gritted his teeth as he let her go.  For now.  But he didn’t like it.
Was she saying she didn’t remember their conversation?  Didn’t remember him telling her he could never make her more than a causal fuck?  He couldn’t be that lucky.
He ushered her into the car and climbed into the driver’s seat before asking her plans.  Could he take her back to his place and redo this night from the beginning?  Instead of harsh words and cutting remarks, he would give her the warmth and care she deserved.
“I’m not entirely sure.  I guess to a store.  Maybe a gas station?”
He frowned at her response.  No way in hell was she wanting to shop now.
She glanced at him with a puckered brow.  “I don’t know.”  He couldn’t look away when she began biting her lip.  He leaned closer, intent on a kiss.  “I don’t remember why I’m here or who to call.”
He froze.  She hadn’t just forgotten the conversation then.  “What do you remember?”
    “Nothing.  I don’t remember anything.”
He leaned back in his seat and considered his options.  Take her to her house, take her to the hospital, or take her back to his place.  No question.
He would take care of her.  In every way.  And he would make sure she knew how much she meant to him before any memories threatened their relationship again.  He reached for her hand and gave a gentle squeeze.
“It will be okay.  I’ll take you somewhere safe.”  Home, where he could watch her closely and steal her heart once and for all.

     My Review:

To Know Her is a short story of Sarah who wakes up after a car accident not knowing who she is. Derek is riding down the road when he sees Sarah at the side of the road and stops to help her. Once he figures out she has lost her memory he takes her back to his house and takes care of her.

The heat between the two is instantaneous. Derek is a Dom and Sarah falls into the sub lifestyle easily. Sarah feels like she can trust Derek with her body but not her heart. Is there an underlying reason?  This is a quick read and totally enjoyable.
