Synopsis
"Music is a Moral Law, It Give Soul to the Universe" - Plato
Sometimes it doesn't matter how long you know a person. The effect they can have on you can happen after four seconds or four years.
In Chase Taylor's case - it's both.
Avery McGuire doesn't just flip on a light inside of her - he set a blaze to everything holding her back. After only a
week together he has to leave, but he strikes a match before walking away that won't easily burn out.
Four years later, Chase finds herself face to face with the boy - now rock star - who changed everything. The same one she still can't admit to falling head over heels in love with. She has no idea that her world is about to get rocked, in more ways than one.

REVIEW
Chase loves music and she is a great singer but no one knows it. Chase is not allowed to play music at home. Her parents are overly strict and think music is a sin. She has snuck out with her best friend so she could take the stage for the first time.
Avery is instantly drawn to the gorgeous girl dancing in front of him. But he puts his foot in his mouth when he tells her the first act is some high school girl who will probably play Brittany Spears. Little does he know that the girl he wants to spend the rest of the night with is the high school girl in question.
Chase blows Avery away and the rest of the bar as well. Avery is only in town for a week but the two manage to see each other and form a connection they both think is forever. But then Avery leaves and Chase decides to stand up to her parents which changes her life. Chase never hears from Chase again.
Four years later Chase is living in LA with her best friend and they get a modeling job. The job is for an album cover. The band's lead singer - Avery McGuire. Chase tries to hide so he doesn't recognize her but that doesn't work. They are both drawn to each other again but Avery has a girlfriend and Chase is not willing to listen to his excuses.
I'm not going to reveal the rest of the plot but I will tell you that this story sucked me in. Chase is a great girl and she really did love Avery within a few days of meeting him. The thought of him is what pushed her to change her life by standing up to her parents.
Avery has never forgotten Chase but other things have gotten in the way. Avery is the type of guy that will put all his friends and family before himself and has gotten himself in a corner that he is hard pressed to get out of.
The two of them try to fight their attraction. Chase even dates Avery's best friend and she does really like him. There are surprises in the plot and secrets are revealed.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next installment about these characters!
