From New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Nicole Edwards comes the sixth searing adventure in her Alluring Indulgence erotic romance series, which follows the seven Walker brothers and their sizzling-hot love interests!
Braydon Walker has always shared everything with his identical twin brother Brendon—hopes, dreams, career choices, and yes, even women. Known for tag-teaming their love interests in every way imaginable, Braydon is surprised and unnerved when he finds himself wanting to keep their newest lover all to himself. Will the twins’ relationship evolve to fit this new mold, or will Braydon’s desire for independence tear them apart?
REVIEW Back with the Walker boys! Oh how I've missed them! This time we get one of the twins, Braydon. Now since this is the fifth full-length book of the series, we've met Braydon and his twin Brendon before. We know their reputation, they do EVERYTHING together! They are famous around town and more than a few women are willing to succumb to being the object of their affections, even if it is only for one night. But since they met Jessie they've been sating their appetites exclusively with her and now things are heating up. Jessie came to town a few months ago she thought she found the perfect situation with Braydon and Brendon. It was supposed to be all fun, no commitment, no emotions, just sex. But things have changed. Jessie has fallen for Braydon and would like nothing more than to explore a relationship with just him, but the twins don't do anything on their own. When things go wrong after a closet encounter, Braydon takes off and Brendon ignores her. Jessie has to figure out if she can stay around and face a future on the edges of the Walker brother's lives. When Braydon leaves, he tries to figure out what he can do to make the sitution right with Brendon and Jessie. He doesn't want to share Jessie anymore, he loves her. But he's never been with anyone without his brother. And now he and his twin are going in opposite directions for the first time ever. When Jessie finally forces Brendon to call Braydon and tell him he needs to come home, Braydon has to find a way to be with his woman without alienating his twin. I enjoyed this book, just like all of Nicole's books, but I have to say that this book lacked the heat of some of her others. The sex scenes are good, but I've come to expect my ereader to almost melt when I read her books and that just didn't happen with this story. I wonder if it has anything to do with being picked up by a publisher? As always the story draws you in and of course we get to visit a little with the other brothers which is always nice, but I was expecting so much more. I will still read the series and all of Nicole's books, I just hope that she doesn't find her voice muted by the new publisher. |
