Review:  This is the third book of the series and man the hunks just keep getting better and better! Nick is David's friend and when he gets into trouble while undercover in Miami, David tells him to come up to NYC and help deal with the problems with the escort service. Nick is still recovering from being caught in the crossfire of his last job, literally, he has the iron still lodged in his leg to prove it. He hopes NY will afford him an easier time of it. 

Jace has been working vice for too long. As an openly gay officer his last assignment pushed him to the edge, right into sub-space. Only the scars on his body haven't healed, when he is assigned to help Kane and David with the mafia connections looking to destroy their business. Not only that but he's paired up with Nick who he can't keep his hands off of. Being thrown back into the world he barely got out of with all his skin, Jace has to navigate being a sub and the desire to be with the one man who he is finding has the power to break his heart.

I loved both of these characters! Nick is a sweetheart under all the bravado and Jace is like a wounded puppy I just want to cuddle. Nya keeps us intrigued as the story is fast paced. If you haven't read the first two books you will need to before this one, there is just too much background left out for you to follow as a stand alone.

Definitely a must read for me!

Review

Jonah is not really happy with his life on the farm but his family needs him and he refuses to let them down. When his father suddenly dies trying to fix the roof of their home, the only way that Jonah and his mother will be able to pay the bills for his sick sister is to sell the farm and move into Austin to get real jobs at a factory. Factory work is more boring than the farm but Jonah doesn't have a choice, that is until he walks into Southern Nights. He is hired as a bouncer after making sure the hot rocker chick he couldn't take his eyes off of gets out of the club alright.

Music has been Lacy's life for forever. But she wants to do it her way. She won't compromise herself just to make it. She's been burned by both the club owner and the last man in her life and tries to deny her growing attraction to Jonah. 

Jonah is drawn onto the stage when the guitarist for the house band breaks his hand. Lacy is thrown together with Jonah more and more with them both in the band and the two finally give into their feelings. When the club owner pushes Jonah to the forefront of the band and sets him up with a record producer Lacy thinks history is repeating itself and pulls away from Jonah. 

This is a great start for a new series from the awesome Ginger Voight. Jonah is a sweetheart and I love that we get his point of view first. Lacy is a little hard to like in the beginning but she grows on you. If we had gotten her POV first I think I might have put the book down but now I'm looking forward to reading it in book 2. I love that we get to revisit with Graham and Giovanni and look forward to more of them in book three. 

You will not be disappointed in reading this new rocker series, give it a one-click.

Nicole Edwards is one of the writers I "one-click" as soon as her books come out and she doesn't disappoint with the second book of the Devil's Bend series. Dalton fell into the music scene after some hard times. He enjoys what he does and all the perks that come along with it, but something is missing in his life. When he comes to Devil's Bend to see his friend Cooper he finds that he wants what Cooper has found, a woman to share his life. He is drawn to Katie, a waitress at The Rusty Nail, not only by her looks but by her feisty attitude. He's never had to try as hard to win someone over but he is determined she will be his.

Katie has a secret, well a few really, that she keeps locked away from the friends she's made at the Rusty Nail. She enjoys her work there but unfortunately she can't chance opening up to anyone, especially the hot Country Music star that makes her knees weak. When she finally gives in and lets Dalton take her out she knows that it can't last. She won't bring him down her road, the cost to both of them could be too great.

When Dalton leaves for a tour, Katie pulls away from him and when he finds out one of her secrets, he doesn't try to stop her. When he finally comes back to Devil's Bend her other secrets are revealed and Dalton curses himself for not fighting harder to get to know this green eyed vixen. He needs to make it right and show her that her past doesn't matter, his life is incomplete without her.

As always in Nicole's books, the sex is hot and the men are hotter. If you haven't given the Devil's Bend series a chance yet, what are you waiting for? Hot Country Music singers and sassy Texas women. Good music and panty wetting sex. Underlying stories that melt your heart. Take a walk through this small country town, you won't be disappointed.
