Review

This one is hard for me to review. I loved the story between Ryan, Mase & Stella. I hated reading about Ryan's abuse. I totally understand the need to know what happened to Ryan but as a mother reading about abuse of a child is hard. I didn't skip those memories but I had a hard time reading them. 

Ryan has lived with the memories of abuse and is at the end of his rope. His memories of his abuse have overwhelmed his life. The one person who he feels connected to is his best friend Mase. He's wanted Mase for so long that this time when Mase visits he can barely stop himself from touching him. Mase wants Ryan too but he's involved....with a Domme. 

Stella has helped Mase and now she may just get the chance to help Ryan too. The instant draw between Stella and Ryan confuses him. So does Mase's reaction to Stella. Ryan doesn't get the whole power exchange he just sees Mase's submission and it turns him on. Things between Mase and Ryan start to get hot but Mase holds back. Stella's demands keep them apart. Stella wants Ryan for herself. 

Ryan decides to give Stella a chance, she says she can help him, release him from his past. The first time Stella and Ryan scene does not go well but Ryan finds the courage to try again.  The chemistry between the two is sizzling and their relationship continues outside the dungeon. Ryan is still drawn to Mase though and the way both relationships progress is wonderful. 

This book was a three and a half star read for me. I just can't give it more with the abuse scenes. If you find you cannot read about child abuse this book is not for you. The scenes are described and hard to get out of your head.

REVIEW:

Dax comes home and is suffering from PTSD and survivor's guilt. His friend Chloe offers to give him a place to live away from his family who he can't be himself around, which is just another thing for him to feel guilty about.

Beck is drowning in his responsibilities and has been since he was 10 years old. But the one thing he's never hidden is his sexuality. When Beck and Dax meet the intense attraction between them made my kindle sweat.

This is a great story with great highs and a number of tear jerking scenes. But as with all of Ms. Collins books the characters find a way to their HEA. The characters are well written and force you to care about them from the first page. You can see that the author cares about the details and it makes for an easy read. Be warned you will not want to put this book down and you may have a book hangover when it's through!

REVIEW

I'm not usually into the whole MC world. I don't watch SOA and I'm not big on the criminal underworld seen in so many of the MC books. So why then did I sign up for this tour?  To tell you the truth, I don't know but I'm so glad I did!

Drew just got out of jail for manslaughter and is coming back to the Sun Devils. He's changed but doesn't know how to deal with those changes. When he finds a kid hiding under his bed, his reaction is no where near where it would have been before he went to prison. 

Ayda is a twenty-four year old woman who works three jobs to support her sixteen year old brother after her parents died four years ago. She never got to finish college, she's tired all the time and cannot even find the time to do laundry and food shopping. When her brother breaks into the Sun Devils clubhouse looking for money Ayda's world changes. 

Drew gives Ayda a job at the clubhouse to pay for the damages her brother caused the pull between the two is intense but each have reasons to stay away from the other. When club business forces them together they realize that together they are stronger and happier. 

The characters are well written and this story draws you in. Drew while being a thug is a lovable one. Ayda has had a shitty few years and you feel sorry for her. This is a great read and I totally recommend it!

I also call her a friend. When we first met, we bonded instantly over our love of music, Victoria tends to be as eclectic as I am with her tastes. She finds stories in lyrics and feels the moods in the melodies.

When we first started writing together, I’ll admit I was intimidated. “We don’t have all day.” That would definitely be Mouse.

“Yeah, yeah, keep your dicks in your pants,” I shout back. ”Show time,” I mumble under my breath.

I walk out of my room, feeling like a slow motion shot in a movie. You know the one where the girl is walking down the beach and all the guys are staring and drooling? I leave the curtain open. Are you ready for a new Rock Series?  I am and I found it in 69 Bottles!  

Addison works for a PR firm and she's just been told she's going on tour with 69 Bottles, the hottest Alternative Rock group around, and Addison's a big fan. When she catches the bus she's met by the group's manager, Kyle. He looks familiar to her but she can't place him. Her thoughts on him are blocked when she meets Talon, the lead singer of 69 Bottles. The attraction to him is instantaneous but there is also something between him and Kyle. 

Talon is the lead singer of 69 Bottles and the one that keeps the others in line. Along with his best friend Kyle, the two have been the driving force getting 69 Bottles to where they are. While they've shared women between them before, now there is a new aspect to their relationship, one that neither was willing to acknowledge before but Addison has brought it to a head. 

Kyle has a secret, well two really. He's attracted to his best friend and if that's not bad enough, now he's drawn to Addison. But Addison may not want him anymore if she finds out about their shared past and he knows his secrets won't be safe for long. 

The three of these characters are all well written, and the rest of the band is well thought out as well. This was a great start to this series and I can't wait to read the next one!
