Book Blurb:
An angelic romance that’s Powerful, Suspenseful, Sexy, Uniquely Erotic, and Romantic. In a secret Michigan Laboratory, an experiment developed a superior creation that was anticipated but not expected. He was the ultimate conception, a core life-being merged with avian. He was born with a gift, a rare one; the ability to fly. His wings instinctively brought out the urge in him to fly, and Kellan's need to be free became his obsession. When the dark, swirling clouds loomed one night, Kellan abandoned the place he had called home, taking to the sky in search of his freedom and to seal his heart that seemed incomplete. Because Kellan's secret was too great for anyone outside the institute to know about, TC unleashed genetically altered Maniacs to bring him back. Through independence, his amazing reality brought riveting adventures to a man he found and couldn't seem to live without. They get tangled with hair-raising suspense that adds heart-pounding tension to every attempt they make at living their unique affair. They faced uncertainty so hectic that staying together was the least of their challenges, and it caused many of their bouts with passion to spiral in and out of chaos. Along their frenzied path to survive, hidden secrets surface about Kellan, prompting each move they make in order to truly set him free. Could Kellan's one true love and passion to fly be the death of him? It's a magnificently inventive adventure of menace, romance, and extreme erotic pleasures.

R Rated Excerpt

“Okay, I’m sorry,” Kellan said. “I only wanted your first flight to be memorable. Next time I’ll  go easy on you.”

“Ppphh! Next time?” Neil spat and started to walk away. “I don’t think so, there isn’t going to be a next time.”

“Get over here.” Still chuckling in a playful manner, Kellan reached for Neil’s wrist and  tugged. “Yes there will be, and I promise I’ll go easy on you.”

Neil jerked and spun into Kellan’s arms, hitting his chest hard. It seemed warmer this time and what Neil liked most of all was when Kellan wrapped his feathery wings around him for that added hug. And then there was the kiss. Another beautiful kiss that transported them to a world of their own and just like before, it was perfect.

Hardly a minute had passed when the thrill of the other’s touch set off definite arousal inside both their jeans that fought like hell to bust loose and connect in a way that only two men could.

Neil brought his hands to Kellan’s bare chest and stroked it. If he wasn’t mistaken, his chest wasn’t as smooth as it was before, maybe superfine feathers like the downy growth found on a newborn bird. It was shadow black where they were at and the darkness kept Neil from being able to tell for sure, but his exploring hands that roamed Kellan’s chest made him grow much harder than he was just seconds ago.

The low moans that came out of Kellan told Neil that whatever was happening between them needed to continue. When he felt Kellan’s tongue push between his teeth, he took that as proof that the angel wanted more of him.

Was it a good thing or a bad idea?

The night air was still, too still, almost peculiar enough to be a bad sign. It was like the calm before an approaching storm.

Neil longed for more of Kellan, but wasn’t sure it was the best thing for them to do. The idea of getting wrapped up with an angel who just escaped a top-secret government facility might not be a good one. He desperately tried to put his mind elsewhere, anywhere but on the man he was kissing. Anywhere in the universe would do fine, but the thought change wasn’t working to save his ass – he was hooked.

Review:

Kellan was engineered in a lab. That's the only life he's ever known. Kellan has wings and one night while being allowed to fly around the compound the power to the power goes off and the tracking system goes down. So Kellan flies away. He has to hide because they will be looking for him. When he lands near a cabin he is drawn to the man he finds there.

Neil is a loner. His cabin is his sanctuary and he is surprised when his dog runs into the woods and starts barking up a tree. When he sees Kellan he thinks he's an angel. Coaxing Kellan in his door, he has an instant physical attraction to him and when they do come together the sex is off the charts.

Unfortunately Kellan and Neil have very little time to enjoy each other. They are being hunted and have to flee their love nest. They find an abandoned lighthouse but again they are found. They just have no luck and Kellan may have to sacrifice himself to keep Neil safe.

The relationship between the two main characters in this story is somewhat hard to grasp at times.  Kellan's childlike attitude to some things and adult to others was a little distracting. The only thing that really worked was the sex. I found myself skimming sometimes and looking ahead but in the end I found myself remembering the characters.

I hope the writer keeps writing, this was a great effort for a first book.

Release Blitz Seal All Exits by Jade C. Jamison

Heather Morrow has been fighting demons all her life, but the past two years have likely been her darkest. So when her friend Katie invites her to a reunion of sorts, Heather jumps at the chance, because Katie, one of the most down-to-earth people Heather has ever called friend, is the only person she has ever felt like herself around, and Heather realizes that she needs an ally to help her out of the shadows.

Kiefer Steele, vocalist for Shock Treatment, has been battling some demons of his own. He’s been a nothing most of his life, but world-famous J.C. Gibson took him from his beach-combing, weed-smoking ways and helped him make something of himself…except life on the road has taken its toll. The only ray of hope in his life has been his continuing online friendship with Heather. The two met in person once, backstage at a concert, and their friendship has grown stronger.

They haven’t seen each other in three years, though, and both have changed immensely.

When they discover each other’s darkest secrets, will their friendship—and budding romance—survive, or are they destined to spend their lives apart…and alone?

Excerpt

They walked off the deck and Kiefer said, “So what did you want to talk about?”

“Hmm. I’m not even sure where to start.”

“No pressure.” Kiefer looked up toward the mountain across the road. It was covered in evergreen trees and the sky above was a light blue, clean and clear. He could see why Johnny wanted to live here. Regular worries were gone, far and away, and it was like regular shit just didn’t matter.

Heather stopped walking, so Kiefer slowed and turned to face her. “Um...I have a proposal for you.”

He raised his eyebrow. “Yeah?”

“Yeah.” She drew in a deep breath and looked in his eyes, but he could tell it was hard for her. “I, uh...I don’t want or need a relationship. But I’m so glad you’re my friend.”

Kiefer smiled. “Ditto.”

“So...just so we can get it out of our systems...why don’t we, uh, explore our attraction, but...when we leave here, things go back to the way they were.” Kiefer drew in a long, slow breath. Was she saying what he thought she was? “That sound okay?”

Honestly, no, it sounded like a copout. He thought some of telling her that, but he wanted her. He wanted her to continue to be a part of her life and he also wanted to step it up a notch after what they had experienced last night. This might be his only chance to convince her that a more intense relationship could be a good thing. So he nodded. “Yeah.” On impulse, he took her hand in his. He wanted to start now.

Heather had other ideas, though. “Not here.” Kiefer couldn’t help the look of confusion that he knew appeared on his face. She let go of his hand but got a little closer, almost as though she were afraid someone would be able to hear her. “If we’re going to go back to the way things were after this week, then I don’t want to give anybody here any bright ideas, and I don’t want to answer any questions or deal with any looks.”

He nodded, saying nothing. He could live with that. And that also gave him several days to see what he could do to change her mind.

Bio

Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado, moved from one city/town to the next, and she’s decided she likes it so much she wants to stay…although travel is not out of the question. She lives in a big town in Colorado (not unlike the fictional Winchester she writes so much about) with her husband and four children. She is working on becoming a crazy cat lady. Okay, so maybe not.

Still want more? Jade has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Theater, a master’s degree in English, and a master of fine arts in Creative Writing. Obviously, she loves school and the student loan folks love her. She works in human services by day, teaches English and creative writing at night, and—in between playing soccer mom and community leader—writes like a fiend. Someday soon, she’ll narrow it down to just writing, but let’s get all those kids off to college first.

Braydon by Nicole Edwards Blog Tour & Review

Publication Date: November 24, 2014

From New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Nicole Edwards comes the sixth searing adventure in her Alluring Indulgence erotic romance series, which follows the seven Walker brothers and their sizzling-hot love interests!

Braydon Walker has always shared everything with his identical twin brother Brendon—hopes, dreams, career choices, and yes, even women. Known for tag-teaming their love interests in every way imaginable, Braydon is surprised and unnerved when he finds himself wanting to keep their newest lover all to himself. Will the twins’ relationship evolve to fit this new mold, or will Braydon’s desire for independence tear them apart?

REVIEW

Back with the Walker boys! Oh how I've missed them!  This time we get one of the twins, Braydon. Now since this is the fifth full-length book of the series, we've met Braydon and his twin Brendon before. We know their reputation, they do EVERYTHING together! They are famous around town and more than a few women are willing to succumb to being the object of their affections, even if it is only for one night. But since they met Jessie they've been sating their appetites exclusively with her and now things are heating up.

Jessie came to town a few months ago she thought she found the perfect situation with Braydon and Brendon. It was supposed to be all fun, no commitment, no emotions, just sex. But things have changed. Jessie has fallen for Braydon and would like nothing more than to explore  a relationship with just him, but the twins don't do anything on their own. When things go wrong after a closet encounter, Braydon takes off and Brendon ignores her. Jessie has to figure out if she can stay around and face a future on the edges of the Walker brother's lives.

When Braydon leaves, he tries to figure out what he can do to make the sitution right with Brendon and Jessie. He doesn't want to share Jessie anymore, he loves her. But he's never been with anyone without his brother. And now he and his twin are going in opposite directions for the first time ever. When Jessie finally forces Brendon to call Braydon and tell him he needs to come home, Braydon has to find a way to be with his woman without alienating his twin.

I enjoyed this book, just like all of Nicole's books, but I have to say that this book lacked the heat of some of her others. The sex scenes are good, but I've come to expect my ereader to almost melt when I read her books and that just didn't happen with this story. I wonder if it has anything to do with being picked up by a publisher? As always the story draws you in and of course we get to visit a little with the other brothers which is always nice, but I was expecting so much more.

I will still read the series and all of Nicole's books, I just hope that she doesn't find her voice muted by the new publisher.

Release Day Review & Giveaway ~ Southern Rocker Chick by Ginger Voight

Author Ginger Voight returns her readers to the star-making world of rockers and romance with her SOUTHERN ROCKER series. It's all the angst and the passion you desire, with several familiar faces from the beloved GROUPIE universe along the way! SOUTHERN ROCKER BOY is written from Jonah's point of view and SOUTHERN ROCKER CHICK is from Lacy's point of view.

NOW AVAILABLE

When Jonah Riley’s father dies unexpectedly, he, his grieving mother and ailing sister are forced to move from the country to Austin, Texas. Jonah finds work at an auspicious night spot called Southern Nights, where he earns a few extra bucks as a bouncer-turned-musician.
There he meets fiery songstress Lacy Abernathy, who has no use for him or anyone else in the club when she’s not on stage. This is an entirely new experience for this ladies’ man. The opportunistic club owner latches onto this chemistry to fill her club, playing with their hearts and livelihoods for her own questionable motives.
Enter music executive Graham Baxter, who offers them both a way out…by competing for a recording contract they both need. Now if only they can fight the intense chemistry that keeps them locked in battle, when they're not locked in each other's arms, that is!

Lacy Abernathy has wanted one thing and one thing only since she was twelve years old. She wants to make music. But she quickly learns that as a woman, her sexuality often goes part and parcel with her dream. At first it works in her favor, getting her on stage with a hot rock star on the rise. But after a whirlwind romance to get her into bed, he leaves her stranded at 19, alone with a baby he refuses to acknowledge.
Three years later she is as bitter as she is stuck. She wants nothing to do with the sexy rocker chick image, especially when it seems to attract every guy she would rather avoid. Her bad attitude gets her fired, again. Her mother issues the ultimatum: Make the next gig work, or give up music entirely.
Lacy ends up back at Southern Nights, an Austin hotspot that had been the source of most of her heartache. There a sexy country boy-turned-rock star Jonah Riley is persistent as he tries to woo her, despite all her best efforts to keep him away. Can she really trust another sexy rocker with her heart, especially when there’s so much at stake?

REVIEW:

Damn I'm in love with this series.

I'm so glad that we get Lacy's story after Jonah's because I am sure if I had read this one first I might not like Lacy as much as I do.  Lacy loves music, so much so that she doesn't see her father for the user he is until it's almost too late. At fourteen she is performing in bars with her father and his band when he convinces her that they need to get booked into one of Austin's largest clubs. When she goes there the club owner tells her she has to be eighteen to play in his club, then he asks her how old she is. Do you get where this is going? Lacy tells him that she's eighteen and when her father leaves her alone with the club owner Lacy barely gets away with her virginity.

The next time Lacy takes a stab at making music her career she is working in the other large club in Austin, this time she falls for the owner's son. When she winds up pregnant he leaves and his family scorns her. Now raising her son all by herself she has no choice but to go back to the club and look for work. She is now the lead singer for the club band. She hates the control that Gay the club owner has over her but she needs the money. When she meets Jonah she is hesitant to let the attraction she has for him to take root. When she sees him with his family though her fences start to come down. Unfortunately for Lacy she knows this road and Jonah is just getting started and still naive enough to think that Gay will let them be together.

When the Jonah is thrust into the spotlight leaving her behind, Lacy has to remake herself again. With the help of an old friend of Ms. Voight's readers, Lacy is ready to finally go for the prize on her own terms. Now we just have to wait for the final book.

There are no spoilers here, we know Lacy's story from the first book of the series Southern Rocker Boy. This is just her POV and we get more of her back story.  As always Ms. Voight's writing is flawless. She can draw us into the character's world so seemlessly we feel we're in the same room with them. She writes about the rock and roll life so effortlessly, entwining characters from former series with harmonious abandon that we feel we are a part of their lives just catching up.

5 stars!

Ginger Voight is prolific author, freelance writer and optioned screenwriter. Her fiction is diverse, with novels like the edgy, coming-of-age drama DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, and the fun family adventure for kids of all ages, COMIC SQUAD.
Having grown up reading different authors like Danielle Steel and Stephen King, Ginger has always been drawn more to story than to genre. This shows up in her various stories. Titles such as MY IMMORTAL and TASTE OF BLOOD are a delicious, heady mix of horror, suspense, and romance.
Genre romance, however, has held a special place in her heart, ever since she read her first Harlequin novel when she was only eleven. As a result, Ginger is making a name for herself writing romances of her own, starring women who look more like the average American woman rather than those traditionally represented in the size-biased American media. Her Rubenesque romances were created especially for those heroines with fuller figures, who can still get the man of their dreams if only they believe they can. Such titles include UNDER TEXAS SKIES, LOVE PLUS ONE, THE GROUPIE TRILOGY, THE FIERCE TRILOGY, THE FULLERTON FAMILY SAGA, THE LEFTOVER CLUB and PICTURE POSTCARDS.
Ginger was included in the best-selling book by Smith Magazine NOT QUITE WHAT I WAS PLANNING, featuring her six-word memoir.

LS teaser

Excerpt

Without warning, we’re on the bed, wisps of charcoal vapors swirling around our bodies. I’m flat on my back with Dorian hovering over me, watching, waiting for his influence to overtake my consciousness. While his body doesn’t touch mine, his mind—his beautiful-fucking-mind—begins to infiltrate every part of me. Sliding over the surface of my skin, so soft and light, like the silkiest feather. Pinching my sensitive nipples and raking down my belly. Igniting heat between my thighs until my panties are damp with desire.

I feel him all over me—teasing my pleasure points with his phantom touches. He moves in closer, so close that our lips nearly meet, yet he still won’t kiss me. He still won’t let me taste the sweet longing that is undoubtedly tempting his tongue. I lift my head to take it from him only to find that I am bound to the bed, completely under his control.

I’ve been here before. I’ve been under Dorian’s spell enough times to know how this will play out. He’s a man of dominating control, and today has been nothing short of chaos. He’s taking it back. He’s taking me back.

“Touch me,” I beg, my voice breathless with agony.

“No.” His eyes spark with white fire on that single word, showing the torment of his restraint.

“Please,” I whimper. “I need you to touch me. I need to feel you.”

“You feel me now,” he rasps.

“No. That’s not enough.”

“Oh? Not enough?” Pressure spikes in my core and I cry out as sensation snakes through my swollen sex. He doesn’t move, but I feel him there—touching, licking, even biting. Soft and hard, hot and wet, all at the same time.

“I can feel you throbbing, Gabriella. It hurts, doesn’t it?”

“Yes.” My voice is an intelligible squeak. It does hurt, yet it feels oh-so-incredibly good. Dorian’s pain is the most potent form of pleasure.

“I feel the hardness of your nipples—how they ache to be licked and sucked. You want me to do that, Gabriella? You want me cover your nipples with my mouth and run my tongue over them? You want me to squeeze them between my teeth right before I suck them, baby?”

“Yes, Dorian,” I manage through a sob.

“And when I’m done teasing your nipples, you want me to run my tongue down…” Another jolt of electricity stings my sensitive flesh. “…down…down…until it meets that soft, sweet place that hurts you so bad? You want me to kiss it and make it better?”

I try to nod through the haze of lust and agony, but I can’t move. I can only feel him owning my body in the most delicious way.
