Can I tell you how much I loved this series?? Probably not. As always with Ginger's books you have a strong female facing many different challenges in her life. The first book in the series introduces us to Rachel the teacher who has lost her own child and is still reeling from her loss and her broken marriage. She is then offered a position in California teaching a billionaire's son.
Drew Fullerton is desperate to get sole custody of his son. He does not always go about showing his son how he feels the right way and Jonathan has rebelled in both personal relationships and his studies. Rachel is thrown in the middle of the custody drama and tries to be the calming influence in the tumultuous world. Drew's own brother Alex is one of the problems. He has slept with Drew's ex and is totally on her side.
Rachel and Drew get together and the sparks fly but their relationship is doomed by Drew's previous actions. At the end of book one it seems like Rachel will again be alone and she heads back to Texas leaving the Fullerton men to work things out on their own.
Book 2 starts with Alex hunting Rachel down and pleading with her to come back for Jonathan's sake. After only three months the young man has gotten in with the wrong crowd and is hellbent on causing upheaval between his parents. Rachel feels bad for leaving him and agrees to go back.
We see a whole new side to Alex in this book and let me tell you girls he's just as panty wetting hot as his older brother!! Rachel falls for him but she's also still drawn to Drew. The family drama continues and now not only is Jonathan a bone to be fought over but Rachel is the rope in the tug of war between Alex and Drew.
Book 3 finds Rachel trying to come to terms with her decision and making a life for herself and her man. The intrigue of Fullerton industries takes center stage in this book and the costs of decisions that Drew made as a young head of the company come back to haunt them all.
I am trying not to give too much away for any of the books but let me tell you that this series is a must read!! Oh and if you are a fan of Ginger's Groupie series, yes a few of the characters make a cameo appearance!!
This series will keep you on edge. You won't know which brother to root for and if you are like me you will change your decision a few times over. You will be heartbroken a few times. You will want to smack a few characters and you will be totally charmed with the children. This is definitely one of my favorite series! I give the whole thing 4.5 Stars!!
Ginger Voight is prolific author, freelance writer and optioned screenwriter. Her fiction is diverse, with novels like the edgy, coming-of-age drama DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, and the fun family adventure for kids of all ages, COMIC SQUAD. Having grown up reading different authors like Danielle Steel and Stephen King, Ginger has always been drawn more to story than to genre. This shows up in her various stories. Titles such as MY IMMORTAL and TASTE OF BLOOD are a delicious, heady mix of horror, suspense, and romance. Genre romance, however, has held a special place in her heart, ever since she read her first Harlequin novel when she was only eleven. As a result, Ginger is making a name for herself writing romances of her own, starring women who look more like the average American woman rather than those traditionally represented in the size-biased American media. Her Rubenesque romances were created especially for those heroines with fuller figures, who can still get the man of their dreams if only they believe they can. Such titles include UNDER TEXAS SKIES, LOVE PLUS ONE, THE GROUPIE TRILOGY, THE FIERCE TRILOGY and PICTURE POSTCARDS. Ginger was included in the best-selling book by Smith Magazine NOT QUITE WHAT I WAS PLANNING, featuring her six-word memoir.
